Callaway Cars Inc has started the production of the Callaway Chevrolet Corvette SC627, just about a month ago, but the customer cars keep rolling out of the performance shop. The latest to take on the streets comes in Laguna Blue and looks simply amazing.
This C7 Stingray is just as powerful as the Chevy Corvette Z06 which will be released in 2015. Initially the Callaway Company said that their upgrade would deliver 620 hp and 600 lb-ft torque. Now, upon its release the horsepower is rated at 627hp at 6500 rpm while torque is 610 lb-ft at 4400rpm. That’s a lot of power coming from an LT1 V8 which is enhanced by a distinctive design blower. The Chevy’s internals now include a 2,300cc four-lobe rotor pack, a new intercooler design and a new intake manifold design and a single acoustic chamber exhaust system.
How can you differentiate the Callaway Corvette from a regular one? Well apart from the amazing paint job and a set of sexy black wheels, you can easily spot the supercharger poking out of the elongated hood. The uprgrades are available for both the coupe and the convertible version of the Corvette, and we guarantee that the option list can satisfy even the most demanding customer.
The entire Callaway kit costs $22,995 on top of the minimum $53,000 of the entry-level Corvette, not a bad price for all the extra power you get.
