It is very refreshing to see that a tuner can have different approaches for two projects based on the same car. Bulletproof Automotive has done this with two clients basing their work on the Nissan GT-R R35.

A couple of weeks ago I have shown you the Bulletproof GT-R SPL – a carbon fiber project that should have been available from Nissan in my opinion. That one was meant to be a lightweight version of the GT-R; this one is a more traditional way to do things: more grip and power along with a nice bodykit.
The owner of the car wanted something that replicates the GT1 Nissan cars, but this wasn’t going to be easy with a street-legal car. Phoenix’s Power from Japan’s Fukui Prefecture provided the front bumper, while the front widened Top Secret fenders were modified by Bulletproof to seem more aggressive. The hood is made of dry carbon fiber and it was designed by Top Racing. They also came up with the sideskirts which fit the custom Bulletproof Automotive side-exhaust system.

Bulletproof also fabricated carbon fiber rear panels while Varis came up with the rear bumper and the rear diffuser. Esprit provided the 052-W dry carbon GT wing while the dry carbon trunk is the work of Overtake.

Switzer Performance from Ohio was in charge of the engine department. They installed their Stage 1 engine upgrade with billet ball-bearing turbos, intercooler piping, fuel rail and injectors, high pressure external wastegates, upgraded radiator and TiAL blow-off valves. The COBB Accessport V3 unit takes care of the engine management. This setup is good for 1,072 hp in a street-going car. The transmission was also upgraded to Switzer Performance Stage 3 with PPG gearset and axles.
An Ohlins suspension with R&T dampers was installed along with a Skipper suspension lift system. The wheels of choice are a set of ADV.1 5.0 Track Spec CS wheels, measuring 11×20’ upfront and 13×20’ in the back. These are wrapped in 295/30R20 (front) and 345/30R20 (rear) Michelin tires.

Since this is a street-going car, the only interior modification is a set of Alcantara Recaro RS-G bucket seats with side mounts.
